Flight mode
A decluttered, glove-and-stylus friendly map for flying. Hides the toolbar and legend, and takeoffs; shows landing zones without labels, winds.mobi-style wind arrows (in your chosen colour scale), a semi-transparent 10 m gust wind map, and wind stations in view down to zoom 8.5 (you cannot zoom out further). Tracks your GPS position with a heading arrow. Double-tap to zoom in, single-tap to zoom out.
You can also toggle it from the map. Turn it off in Settings when you are done. The screen is kept awake while flight mode is on.
Units
Choose metric or imperial display units for wind speeds, temperatures, and map distances.
Affects labels only; forecasts are still fetched in metric (km/h, °C, metres).

Control which site and wind-station markers appear on the map, and whether their name or wind labels are shown.

Map overlays
Toggle hazard and advisory polygon layers. The Smoke Map raster is still controlled from the map toolbar.
Wind markers
Choose the marker shape and colour scale for live wind stations on the map. Marker shape and colour are independent — e.g. ParaglidingWX discs with the winds.mobi gust ramp.

Markers use gust speed when available. Tiers match the windgram scale below — edit cutoffs and colours there.
Markers use gust speed (km/h) on a 0–50 HSV ramp. Offline stations are grey. Windgrams and the map wind overlay still use the tier scale below.
